I need help. If anyone has any idea how to fix this I will love you long time :) I am still searching online on my other pc for help.Will be afk untill fixed btw.
I just installed a new graphics card and now I cant get past the blue screen with, hit esc= boot menu. f1=setup.f10= system recovery.
I hit every button and nothing happens. I took out the new card and the old one does the same thing now. Instalation instructions to me to delete my old card drivers ( whick was wrong since the old card is attached to my motherboard) but to late now i already deleted them.
I installed the new card properly it even had me DL the new drivers for that card. When it told me to reboot to activate the new drivers is when this blue screen happened.
Card is ati VisionTek Radeon HD 4550 512 ddr3memory
System is a HP Pavilion a1250n
3800 amd athlon 64x2 processor
3GB mem 250 gb HD (just added 2gb mem today was only 1)
Power supply is 300 ( was told this was fine but the card recomends 400)
I didnt think this would work on my system but the dumb ass geek squad guy at best buy said it would work just fine
where exactly are you getting this screen after post?

Working on it still, got to the bios finally, have a friend of mine here. my mother board is doing some funky shit still.
well there are 3 possibilites:
you may have drivers crashing your shit. you can test this by booting in safe mode. if you can, then it's a software issue and you may be able to correct it in safe mode by jimmying with drivers.
the other two possibilities are less attractive. either you have a PCI (or whatever) slot hardware problem, or a straight up dead motherboard. you could test this by booting with no gcard installed at all (assuming you have a crappy integrated one as well). but either way, you'd be in bad shape and would need a new motherboard.
this is assuming that nothing else changed that you've not mentioned.
or it could be your new ram you installed if it is beeping put in old ones boot it then unplug put in all then reboot if not working get it check ?
bought a new motherboard, old one is fried from the looks of things. Now I need a new power supply i beleave. this board has a 20 pins dc socket but my old power supply has a 24 pin. I really hate techs that dont know wtf there talking about when i go to buy shit. Since I don't know alot about all this. it will have to wait until later today since i have yet to sleep.
Update: still working on this damn thing. Everything seemed to be working great until Comp decided to not find my hard drive. I've tested 3 drives so far and it seems to recognise the oldest one I have but still wont boot it. I try to re-install windows on all of them but when it gets to the , To install windows pres enter, to repair press f8 screen. if i hit either one it goes to a screen that says no hard disk drive was found. Got a friend coming over later today to try and figure it out.
Sent my comp to a friends work yesterday and they still havent got it done yet. My sata drive isnt being recognized somehow. He got another drive to work but it wont let him boot any sata drive. Waiting to hear from him today or tomorrow. I might have lost everything on my HDD which is gonna suck if thats the case.Will keep you all updated.
RE-installing WoW atm, gonna take awhile. starting from vanilla disk 1 :(
Then i need to install all my add-ons again and set up every thing again. lost all my vent info, had like 30. Can someone plz post vent info, or i can look through old posts for it.
