edit: i ate iron seeds ( ithnk that was their nam), the armour pots like candy.... miss down ranking and solo healing the north side on smoda too :(

Good and bad memories....yet i am not sure wich there were more of...
bad. there's nothing worse than showing up for raid and not even knowing whether you're gonna have to play a resto sham, destro lock or feral tank. though i suppose i did enjoy spending all brokrap and stupida's money on pots and shit.
Resto Sham, Holy Pally, Prot Pally, Destro lock, Rogue, Ret Pally, or once in a blue moon Prot War... lol

Oh come on you know better than that. Not to be the usual guy that comes on and scoffs wow after he quits...but you don't expect Cata to be hard at all do you? :)

I don't have beta, so honestly, I'm talking about things I have no first hand experience with. But: it looks to me like doing Cata heroics in greens and blues is roughly as difficult as doing Wrath heroics in greens and blues. Most people in guild went into Wrath with at least T6+ epics, which tended to be better than Wrath greens and some Wrath blues. Conversely, Wrath epics are outdated before L85, forcing people to run heroics in greens and blues.
When people have full T11, it'll be like doing Wrath heroics in T7. When people have T12, it'll be like doing Wrath heroics in T8. When people are in T14, they'll be waiting for Emerald Dream and complaining in forums that heroics are too easy, and will be looking back to the days of good, hard heroics like Oculus as a fresh L80 and Halls of Reflection when it came out.
Yeah basicly what hope said....they will be out geared eventually but right now stonecore is a bitch to do and is actually really hard and will take focus havent tried the others yet
meh we'll see, some of the heroics atm arn't that easy some are untertuned as shit too and cbear you quit twice now, come back you homo
its really tough to say how cata will be. right now, things just don't seem tuned properly. but with the direction blizz is going, i'd say they will tone most of it down a notch.
Don't doubt it honestly, the qq will be loud if some of the instances stay tuned to what they are atm, That being said we will all outgear them eventully anyways

and keep in mind they don't want to make heroics too hard because of the random heroic feature. take occulus for example, even as easy as that instance was when it was first released they still nerfed it 3 major content patches later just so random heroic goers could defeat it with ease. I doubt they intend to make any heroic 5 man too terribly difficult (although I hope they do)

I just don't know about Cata. I'm sure that it'll be the same for heroics; hard for the first week and then boring and easy from there on out. I honestly remember the only heroic being remotely hard was Old Kingdom and the trash in Strat. Maybe there was more than that though.
Raiding will be interesting with the 10/25 saves and such. I don't know maybe I might check it out.
lol don't worry about the mount, they're just heroics though, hopefully the hard modes of the first tier of raid bosses are at least somewhat engaging, doubtful but we'll see.

Yeah, FFXIV is pretty bare-bones right now, but if they follow the same path as they did with FFXI, it will be a lot better. They, themselves, stated to not review the game for another 3-4 weeks (LOL), but I hope that is their way of saying that they are gonna add a lot of content and fix the retainer system.
I like the game enough to keep playing it, plus I got a buddy pass from a friend which afaik means I don't actually have to pay for the copy of the game. I'm a sorority girl now so I don't have that much time for MMOs anyway D;

And yeah I definitely won't be investing time in an mmo like before. Which is a shame, miss the people not the game though!
