The Jelly Bean man certainly took some work and practice handling all the color combinations. Having mana, losing mana, aoe heal, dont aoe heal, use cd’s, OMG DONT TRANQ NOW IT”S PURPLE!, group up, spread out, oops the void got too close and busted early all conditions and rites of passage learned on the journey. You can do this fight without a holy paladin but healers have to be spot on. Good job everyone!
Morchok wasn’t as much trouble as Yor’sahj at all, just a few attempts and properly placed cd’s and both his bodies fell over.
Dragon Soul opened it’s doors last week and most of the normal mode fights were fun but pretty simple to down. Ultraxion was a bit rough, but once we got everyone without “THE GREEN BUTTON” fitted with a macro and everyone turned off their Recount/Skada he bent to our will.
Blackhorn also was bit of a challenge, but more due to the fact the night we worked on him we were short a few players. We almost gave up, but decided to give a few more shots to work on mechanics and well..you can kill him with just a few players up at the end. Good job survivor team.
Lots of loot went out…I would post up all that information but so much loot going on the activity feed between LFR, alt runs, main raid, 5 mans that information was pushed out into oblivion long ago (most cases the next day). Congrats to all loot recipients. Looking forward to our next few weeks of kills.
It’s a damn good thing that flying in a V formation was not one of the achievements for Glory of the Firelands Raider because I have a feeling we’d still be working on it. Kidding aside, it was nice to take a week where we were short a key position for some of the Heroics to work on these mounts for the guild. Do a Barrel Roll was definately the hardest of the set and I’m very impressed and proud that we pulled it off in 25 man. That should of been an achievement itself because despite 10 and 25 man being “equal” there is no way you can equate doing this achievement.
Since the last Blog post we also downed 2 more heroics. Normally I would post the first drops and recipients but with the achievement spam, the headless horseman drops, gdkp drops and the TK runs (looting hundreds of legendaries) I cannot get to this information. Apologies for that but grats to everyone who participated in the kills and who recieved loot.
Thanks to Priestpujols for the videos and the picture taking/formatting team Smeezy and Jexia for the wonderful screenshots.
This week after clearing out the farm bosses we once again set our sites on Shannox HM. We tried a couple different locations and strats in the past but I think we found a solid strat as Shannox and his mangy mutts went down within just a few attempts.
We’ve been killing Ragnaros on 10 man over the weekends for a number of weeks now but this week we finally had the extra time to get in and spend some quality time on 25 man. This fight is like riding a bike or learning a line dance…one you learn it, know all the steps it seems pretty easy in retrospect. Looking forward to seeing this fight on Heroic in the weeks to come.
We have sent more then a couple 10 man teams in for the last few weeks now to roughen this guy up and get some experience. 10 man kills are great, but nothing feels better then a 25 man style kill in our last attempt of the night vanquish style kill.
Where do I start? Searing seeds, engulfing flames, lava walls, fire elementals, meteors..there are so many things to die from. This fight takes patience, practice and pretty much a flawless execution. Just like Staghelm, we’ve had some good practice on him with a couple 10 mans now so really looking forward to this fight on 25.
First 10 man kill shot and video.
Again thanks Omgapriest for the video!

Legendary Staff Special Event
During the last two weeks we also got to participate in the special event to allow Isis to start receiving seething cinders towards his staff. Here are some screen shots of it. Congrats Isis..only 2-4 more months to go!
After miles of trash and quickly knocking out Beth’tilac and Shannox we first set our attention on Baleroc. This encounter is harder to explain then to execute. After just a few attempts getting used to the crystals and rotations he was an easy kill. Congrats Priestpujols, Omgapriest and Gat for ranking in WOL on this fight.
Lord Rhyolith was our next target of the week. Over the last weekend we sent Gardorian off to get his captains certificate specializing in the steering of 2 very large feet. Definately paid off and our whole driving team earned their licenses this week. Pedestrians beware.
Not sure which is harder, waiting to grab feathers until after our dps are skyborn or avoiding tornados. Either way after some good practice we finally got both under control. I wouldn’t call this a clean kill, but it was a good kill none the less. A big thanks to our flyers (especially Mer!) for knocking down the last few percent.
This week came patch 2.4 and it has been the smoothest patch so far. With this patch came the new raid instance Firelands. This outdoor style raid instance is quite impressive. Navigating through the trash packs, avoiding Shannox until we have a spot cleared, we learned a few things the hard way…but had a lot of fun doing so. (btw…turtles are bad!)
Rabies shots are recommended. I don’t think anyone made it through all the attempts without a little Rageface love. Once we got him somewhat tamed and learned to navigate through the traps Shannox went down with ease. Congratulations on the first kill of the patch.
Spiders, spiders everywhere. Ms Beth’tilac is definitely one scary looking spider, but this encounter looks harder then it was in the end. Coordination and research was key and it was apparent our team showed up ready for the job Thursday night. If everyone shows up this prepared for each boss, then they all will be falling this quick. Great job to all, and keep it up.
Congrats everyone on our latest kill. It’s been a rough past month with attendance and having the right comp to even make any attempts. Thanks to all who have weathered out the rough season and a big welcome to our new faces.
Tonight, after weeks of attempts and a few trying nights of bugged encounters, Heroic Atramedes was finally defeated. Charlie Sheen, an onlooker of the scene, was anxious to comment on the heroic deeds put forth by Vanquish. “ That was Epic. You guys are just winning! You made that blind Dragon look like a droopy eyed armless child. You guys apparently only have one speed and that’s GO! I did notice however that you may have not read the instruction manual the first few times because he just made your face melt right off. You guys have tiger’s blood, Adonus DNA, and make the magic happen like rock stars from Mars. Keep on winning and don’t ever forget, a ball sack is like a Christmas ornament for a man.”
Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Sheen and good luck to you, sir.
What more can I say, this merged raiding team has came together perfectly. We raided 2 nights together and we’ve gained 2 progression kills. We’ve just scratched the surface of what we are capable of as we move forward and become more organized. I can feel that everyone is excited for the days and weeks to come!
No doubt Heroic Halfus felt great to down but Herioc Chimaeron was a particular pleasure as it takes just the right combination of teamwork and each individual player executing an almost flawless performance. This three-headed monstrosity has been a thorn in our sides in all his modes, but now he’s just another notch in our collective bedposts.
Once upon a time, there was a group of 25 friends. These friends decided to explore a mountain cave together one fateful Wednesday evening. Upon entering the cavernous depths, however, a cruel dragon named Atramedes taunted them by laughing over and over as a warlock continuously face planted. Despite the warlock’s desperate need for a built in parachute and guard rails built into the elevator, he eventually managed to get his feet safely on the floor. The Dragon was not finished however. Out of rage, the friends attacked the blind troglobite. However, without his sight, the dragons sense of direction was heightened and he continually took advantage of the dyslexic nature fo the friends. In the end, the joke was on the dragon, because whether you swing left or right, a slash across the throat still kills your ass.
Afterwards we headed over to Bastion of Twilight for a quick Halfus kill.
Shortly after discovering that he did not clock into work this morning of December 30th, 2010 his body was discovered in the pits of lava behind his dragon perch. Twilight CSI are hot on the case and have found amongst pieces of cindercloth, broken weapons and lots of blood, some tufts of strange hair, suspected to be worgen in nature. The only few leads the CSI team has to capturing the culprits have the team of investigator baffled.
“This is a heinous crime, and could only have been commited by the strongest band of misfits of the alliance. We have our eyes on a particular bunch that call them selves Vanquish . We can’t jump to conclusions, but we are sure it was them, and if they dare to come back, be sure that we will put up a fight”
This comes as no surprise as this group is known to have been wreaking the forces Deathwing has elected to be his trusted protectors, if you ask me, Deathwing is pissed off and probably not just a little scared. Vanquish will very likely be coming for him soon enough
Despite overall holiday shortages and occasional lack of tanks, tonight a small group of Vanquish adventurers plunged into Blackrock Descent. After a few attempts on the Omnitron Defense System, a perfect kill came together. Everything thrown at us from fire to poison bombs was swatted away and the mechanical giants fell helplessly as their cores were torn from their golem bodies.

Next, we backtracked to the hot headed worm, Magmaw. The fiery S&M bitch of a wyrm wasn’t getting what she wanted from her draconic toys so we bitch slapped them and gave her a few shots. Sadly things got a little too wild and she succumbed in a way similar to David Carradine after her oxygen was cut off by a large spike to the throat and many beatings to the head. Word is we are currently under investigation by the WOW SVU.
Halion: Twilight Destroyer… embodiment of Deathwing’s will… murderer of his kin in the Ruby Sanctum… floor mat. After several months of the “Heroic” felon eluding the local authorities of Staghelm, Halion was finally struck down by a group of vigilantes, reputed for their ruthless culling of any who hinder their efforts, including the elite guard which safeguarded the dragon. Citizens are advised to avoid direct contact, as several cases have been reported involving random acts of violence directed at those who impede their progress; questionable treatment of their domesticated companions has also been alleged.
Although some herald Vanquish as heroes of our time, others insist that the group is a glorified community of thieves, seeking out the rich and stealing their possessions. Be advised that the group was spotted in southern Icecrown, and residents of the Citadel should hide their belongings to prevent seizure.
As fun as it may be for classes with stuns to be able to make use of them during the Lich King encounter, it is terribly inconvenient when those classes are lacking; at the very least though, it provoked results elsewhere.
After a long absence from 10 Man progression, Vanquish has once again lived up to its name in both Icecrown Citadel and Ruby Sanctum, with different groups each completing a zone. Congratulations and thanks to those who put in the time after hours to get these kills; scheduling a consistent group can be as difficult as the encounters themselves.
Detonating Vile Spirits flying chaotically around the room at full speed may be fun for some players, but remind us to bring a Shadow Priest for Phase 3 next time.
I may not have been there, but I have faith that my guildmates followed proper protocol and decapitated Halion after the screenshot. Otherwise, he could be brought back to life in less than a week’s time.
ICECROWN CITADEL (AP) — The guild Vanquish, accused of murdering a popular Icecrown Citadel Professor of Infectious Diseases, Alchemical Horror and Fun, has plead guilty on one count of first degree murder and four counts of armed robbery. Mr. Putricide, who had taught at Icecrown Citadel since December 2009 and whose research efforts had reportedly recently led to a new plague that would wipe out all life on Azeroth, was found dead in his laboratory on May 27th. Autopsy reports indicate that Mr. Putricide was slashed, stabbed, bludgeoned, clawed, diseased, frozen, burnt, poisoned, gnawed, and shot, amidst other, less identifiable injuries. Icecrown Citadel chancellor Arthas Menethil spoke briefly with reporters on Thursday. “He was always coming into my office with good news, and it baffles me to think that anyone could possibly want to harm such a cheerful, sadistic man in the prime of his undeath. We’ll sorely miss him, but I expect to have him raised from the dead again and back in the lab within the week.” The guild Vanquish is expected to be sentenced to fighting the Heroic version of the Lich King.
Sindragosa hard mode 25-man is down for Vanquish. Screenshot will be available once someone who didn’t somehow accidentally rebind screenshot to Page Down sends me a screen shot. Vanquish is now 10/12 hard mode ICC25 – one more boss to kill before the nightmare fun part begins. . .
Screenshot now available!
More like Tree Slapped, really. Lady Deathwhisper 25-man hard mode is dead. However, I fail at taking screenshots. Blame it on the heart attack I was suffering a few minutes earlier. So, failing to have a decent screenshot, I present some awesome art by Luis Royo.
Recruitment is effectively closed for most classes right now; Warlocks are the only class that’s still open. However, exceptional players of any class and spec (other than Restoration Druids) are of course encouraged to apply.
Normally, 10-man achievements don’t make the front page, but sometimes we make exceptions. Last night, a Vanquish 10-man group completed a server first Glory of the Icecrown Raider and received appropriate compensation for the feat.
As well, we’re still recruiting for 25-man raiding. We’re specifically looking for Hunters, Holy/Discipline Priests, and Warlocks at the moment, at least one of each.
Blood Queen Lana’thel has been defeated, Valithiria Dreamwalker has been rescued. Vanquish moves to eight of twelve hard modes defeated. On that note, we’re looking to recruit another Priest (Holy/Discipline), Paladin (Protection, a Holy offset would be great but isn’t necessary) and another Warlock. If you’re not one of those three classes and you’re a good player, feel free to apply anyways.
Great job, healers! (And Andia too.)
All hail our Gnomish Saviors! (I think that I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.)
The hard mode 25-man Blood Prince Council is down. I cannot think of anything more clever to say at this time, nor can I find a reasonably amusing picture to attach to the post. Being Canadian, I apologize.
Update: hard mode 25-man Festergut is down too. Our first week of Icecrown Citadel hard modes has resulted in six of the twelve hard mode bosses being downed.
Deathbringer Saurfang down, and since we wanted free hard mode loot we went and killed Rotface as well. We’re now 4/12 Heroic ICC, with a few raiding nights left to go this week.
There’s a lot I want to say. About how well the other twenty-four people in the raid played and how proud I am to be in the same guild as them, about how things finally came together and how a lot of us were fairly certain from the first pull tonight that this would be the night he died. About how we’ve been able to overcome and move forward this expansion, despite setbacks along the way that would have broken most guilds.
But beyond what I’ve already said, it’s just details. Hard modes start on Tuesday.
We ascended up to the spires of Icecrown Citadel, to do battle with the vile wyrm Sindragosa in her very lair. With sword and spell we did battle against her mighty magics of frost and death. Back and forth the battle swayed, as we drove the unholy skeletal dragon back into the air time and again, avoiding her frigid breath with consumate skill. Finally, the blanched and exsanguinous beast descended to the ground for a final time, and began to unleash a diabolic wave of foul sorcery. The brave champions of Azeroth girded their loins, their mighty thews strengthened by the pure force of their heroism, and so valiantly overcame the dread fiend. Our shouts of victory shook the very Frozen Throne; the Lich King himself looked down upon the victorious champions, gathered about the massive corpse of his slain behemoth, and said “WTF? RP Shit?”
The Blood Queen is dead, finally. I like the fight, it’s pretty fun and it uses a mechanic that hasn’t really been used before. It’s also a fight where lag or a disconnect really, really hurts, and it’s one of those were pretty much everyone has to do their job right or they kill other people and/or themselves and/or otherwise make things much harder.
We also saved Dreamwalker on Tuesday; easy fight for the most part, and the healers had a lot of fun. At least, the healers who weren’t healing the raid had a lot of fun. So: now only Sindragosa and Arthas are left before we reach hard modes.
Just like in 8-World Super Mario Bros, Insanity eventually pays off. In this case, it meant that we killed Anub’arak with 50 attempts remaining. Great work, everyone.
Vanquish has murdered Professor Putricide and the Blood Princes. Putricide went down relatively quick and easy; the Princes were a very easy fight, once we got the hang of passing the balls to the Warlock tanking the Shadow prince. There really isn’t a lot to say – both of these fights are relatively simple, and downing them on Tuesday was pretty much expected.
Blood Queen Lana’thel is up next, and we’ll hopefully be posting another kill this week.
It was a very long time in coming, but hard-mode Anub’arak 25 has been killed. And there was much rejoicing. Eleven of the people in raid had been with us when we first started doing pulls on Anub’arak and have been along for the whole ride; fourteen people in the raid have been with the guild for only part of the journey, and their contributions helped make the difference. Thank you to everyone who stuck with this: it feels good to finally be here.
The first four bosses of Icecrown were (unsurprisingly) easy. Still, it’s nice seeing loot that isn’t sharded en-masse and a few new fights – it’s been almost a year since this much new content to play through landed in a day.
While the fights were relatively easy, at least Deathbringer and the Gunship battle managed to feel new and interesting. Lord Marrowgar was an amalgamation of Leotheras and Naj’entus, Lady Deathwhisper is an improved Shade of Akama phase one combined with a simplified Kel’thuzad phase two. The Gunship used old mechanics for the most part, but it felt different than other fights. Saurfang is just a fun fight… at least for melee.
We’re also still recruiting! Our highest priority right now is for Priests (Holy/Discipline), Mages, Warlocks, and a Shaman (Elemental), but we are accepting apps of all classes.
Well last night was the last chance of the week we had for a 10m group within the guild to attempt the VoA achievement earth, Wind and Fire. This was our second night of attempts as it was difficult to schedule around Wintergrasp wins. With about 30 minutes left managed to pull of a kill off 3 bosses within a minute and obtained a World first!, Congratulations to everyone that was a part of this and to the clicker desp, Well done everyone.
Unfortunately there was no video recorded but hopefully we can get one done this week.
Tonight the guild stepped up to the latest challenge that ToC Had to offer, The Twin Val’kyr which seemed like daunting task to defeat. After ten attempts and three the previous week vanquish learned to Ikaruga, collecting the right colour balls and defeating the twins. Congratulations to everyone that participated in getting the server first and the DPS who managed to get in the top 20 world for best dps and several in the top five US. Wish I was there well done.
This week Heroic hardmodes were available and we jumped in the zone and attempted the bosses there within, First off the beasts of northrend were defeated after we learned how to dodge a giant yeti moving at 100K/M (That is 62.1 miles to you backwards imperial people) trying to head butt us, Followed shortly after by the demon Lord Jaraxxus who met his end in a few short attempts. Next up the champions of the horde fought an undermanned vanquish and just managed to get a victory by changing up our strat. Good work everyone!
Unfortunately no SS of the first 2 encounters and we had some loot drama from the second boss in which we couldn’t see any of the loot that dropped.
After a great month and a very good first night on algalon the week before and almost killing him, We went in after clearing to him the night before. With a great raid comp we attempted to save azeroth from certain destruction. After a 10% wipe we went back in and focused on our jobs for a flawless attempt that led to a kill, Saving azeroth from doom and getting a realm first! Congratulations to everyone who put the effort in over the last month i am very impressed how everyone has preformed lately.
Secondly i would like to thank everyone who sent us tells or made forums posts congratulating us.
Another night in ulduar and we made the push to the old god Yogg-Saron, Mowing down his general ye-ole lobster man himself, Shortly there after we enlisted the help of our old friend thorim from IN THE MOUNTAINS and attempted one light in the darkness. After a few hours of attempts we managed to defeat the old god and collect the loots, I must say even after the nerf everyone did really well this past week and finally pushing to finish of the rest of the hard modes.
Congratulations to everyone and to the people that got their new pimping mounts!
P.S Screw the bloodelf in the screenshot, whats up with people messing up my screens!
So after 1 solid night of attempts on freya hard mode we went back into tonight and attempted her with 3 keepers up and ironically after I had to go out for lunch they managed to free her from Yogg-sarons bonds, Congratulations to everyone who got it, Well done.
Well final 10 man ulduar post, Tonight after a few hours of attempts we down 0 keeper yogg, Really fun fight and I must admit i enjoyed it a lot, Congratulations to everyone that participated and also Congratulations to desperada for having to much gold and getting the vanquished tentacle of Yogg-Saron.
P.S: Screw the orc who got in the screenshot damn it!
So a few updates since the last post first off we went into ulduar tonight after a slow build up and some practice we donned our fire fighting hats on and with the help of ayanami his foking skill we managed to extinguish the blazing fight of mimiron hardmode, I must say that this fight is extremely fun and possibly one of my most favorite fights in the instance apart from algalon 10 and congratulations to everyone that put the effort in and actually logged on.
Secondly I would like to congratulate ellwin on finally getting her Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings made and rocking it in the instances putting probably one of the coolest graphics on everyone in the raid.
Last and defiantly least we also killed the first 3 bosses (Beast of northrend) in Trial of the Crusader 25 normal, which is a complete joke and to make maters worse we have to wait 5 weeks to even get to the end boss on easymode let alone unlock hardmodes, Not much of a raid content patch hopefully icecrown will be incredible.
Its been along time comming but tonight after a few weeks of attempts we managed to pull our finger out and learnt to dodge shadow crashes, With constant D/C’s during the fight and some people lagging like hell, Which I must say is frustrating as hell when something like this is out of your control. We managed to down the super lobster man and collect the loots.
Another 10 man update, We had one hour after discovering algalon in ulduar, To save azeroth from complete destruction after 38 mins algalon was defeated and all of azeroth was saved, Really fun fight and only took us 3 weeks to actually defeat due to the hour limit, Congratulations to everyone on another server first.
So we went back into ulduar tonight and cleared some easy content, After debating for a bit on what to do next we headed to thorim and attempted the hardmode, After 3 attempts we freed thorim from his tentacle love nest. Congratulations to all, Well done.
A new raid reset and ulduar was on the cards, First up was flame leviathan with 4 towers up (hardmode), After about an hour of attempts and fine tuning our strategy we managed to down him for a server first and much to my astonishment Grullnor actually did well on demolisher dps but the loot unfortunately was rather disappointing.
Shortly after we headed to XT-002 Deconstructor where he was throwing a tantrum as he always does and it was time break his heart!, Very simple fight and after a few attempts we killed him and collected the loots, Congratulations to everyone tonight, stay tuned for more updates!
UPDATE
Shortly after killing some farm content we headed back to the iron council, After about an hour of attempts steelbreaker was the last to die and another hardmode was defeated!. Loot and SS Below
We went back into ulduar tonight and went after hodir, After a few hours of attempts on hodir and we finally managed to knock out hardmode, Congratulations to everyone for knocking this one out! more to come soon.
There has not been much to update lately in regards to 25 man content with constant bad DC’s and many peoples computers blowing up, So here is another ten man post that I think is very worthy of a front page update. After a week of trying a ten man group managed to down Mimiron on hard mode, Followed shortly after by General Vezzax, Which completed the GotUR achievement for several people and granted them access to a new mount! Congratulations to everyone that obtained the mount, I wish I was not sick and could have been there to see accomplishment and to everyone that helped along the way, Thank you.
This is probably the only ten man kill or achievement I think was worthy of a front page post, Tonight ten of us went back into ulduar and attempted a few hard modes. First up was iron council hardmode which i must say is an utter joke now, After three attempts the council fell and we collected the loots. We went on to face yogg saron with only one keeper down to help us. After many attempts we had the one perfect attempt and killed the old god hard mode, #4th in the US and #21st in the world, Very well done to everyone who pulled it off.
After a sluggish start tonight and finishing off several optional bosses we departed back into Yogg-Sarons prison and started hurling ourselves at the encounter. After two solid attempts we tried again and the third time really is a charm, With a very well executed attempt we managed to down the old god and collect the loots. Yogg-Saron
Additionally we have some others updates, Recently we have made some progress in 10-man hard mode achievements and 25-man achievements, Which you can see below.
After a great start of the week, We went back into ulduar tonight and cleared the remainder of the bosses left up in our way. Entering the maw of madness we came face-to-face with mutant lobster man from hell, After several attempts we managed to down him and collect the loots. The only thing that remains is the god of death himself!
We embarked on a journey back into the depths of ulduar tonight, We made some great progress on mimiron in a few attempts, Shortly thereafter the machognome was freed and we pressed on to the mutant lobster boss also known as General Vezax and made some good progression!, All in all a great week of raiding.
Well, last night was pretty bad, I’ll be the first to admit. Tonight, we came back and hit the bosses with the angry first of Dio, God of Rock. We got two kills tonight and made some great progress on mimiron, Which by the way is an extremely fun fight.
Additional grats to monukai on getting the insane achievement and title, you crazy bastard!
We ventured back into the depths of ulduar today and it turned out to another night that the server was stable, First we went up against the crazy cat lady and made quick work of her and her pets after adjusting our strategy. Followed by Hodir and Freya.
Secondly I want to say a belated congrats to ellwin on getting her first Fragment of Val’anyr!
Well bit of a delayed update but here it is 3.1 finaly hit this week and we have been delving into the depths of Ulduar!, Having to deal with a few nights where we could only raid for about 2 hours a peice and dealing with bugged bosses and mobs was disapointing but we did have a good raid night tonight!
No loot info because I am to lazy to check! more to come soon!
Well its been a few months of really bad luck on disconnects and extremly heart breaking low percent death on KT but we have finaly managed to get back to our best. 25 People gained the title & achivement, With many people completing their glory of the raider!
Congratulations everyone who put the effort in and stuck it out, Well done. See you in Ulduar!
So what else is there to do besides farming raid content over and over and over? Raid achievements, that’s what! After getting a strategy down that worked for us earlier in the week, we came back from the weekend break and one-shot Sartharion with all three of his drakes up on pull to earn our pretty new titles. I’m assuming we’ll now be moving on to more and more raid achievements just to keep things interesting. Stay tuned.
What do Malygos and all of the Horde leaders have in common? THEY’RE ALL DEAD!
A good way to cap off the raid-week if you ask me. A 10-man strat test/kill followed up immediately by a 25-man kill. What a crazy fun fight this was. It’s practically Onyxia for a new generation. I love bosses with no trash to kill! [ Read more → ]
My my, what a busy week this was (so far!!) Only the second Friday after the release of Wrath and we clear Naxxramas as soon as we had enough level 80s to do it, and a server first to boot!
It was a lot of fun, even though I was falling asleep through run backs on Four Horsemen. Twice I actually woke up to hear “OMG Malki wake up!” and Doms even had to shake me awake once (hah!). Sapphiron was a blast, and not having to wear frost resist gear is a big plus. Kel’Thuzad was amazing… mostly because it was my first, even though the guild has done it many times pre TBC and post TBC. I always missed it, so it was extra fun for me.
Oh the joys of raiding with the guild again! I didn’t grats anyone on dinging, I am not here to validate you! I did, however, grats them in my own way by way of a raid invite. Was nice to finally get enough together to do some real content, no 10 man crap is not real content. After the short trip to a 10 man to finish off the last two bosses we decided to get what people we had on and do 25 man Naxx with any number we got just to do something, ended up started with 21 and after two wing clears and some attempts on Patchwerk, ended with 24.
Plate drops in Naxx were about the most insane thing I have seen. Every boss dropped at the very least 1 plate item, I think our first Death Knight at 80 (Dari) pretty much cleaned up on bosses even a random trash drop if I recall.
Well we looked at our roster and noticed we had just enough to skim off 10 people and drag them to a 10 man Naxxarams on Monday, we got two wings down; Spider and Plague. Then returned for a 10 man on Tuesday, and Finished all four wings with a Kill on Sapphiron and Kel’Thuzad first thing Wednesday. For some of the guild it was the first Naxx clear post patch.
10 Man Naxxarams Cleared
Last night they rounded up 10 more people and pulled off a 10 man version of The Obsidian Sanctum – with a kill on Sartharion. I am not sure of the loot table, but I will get that from the guild later.
While the majority of the server was trying to find their way out of Borean Tundra, or some still trying to figure out how to turn in the horse, once most people pushed out of BT or HJ the race was not really a race as much as it was just nice that there wasn’t 30+ people in the zone trying to gank the quest mob the fastest.
We had some who were focused and ready to get some realm firsts. Most of us scheduled days off in advanced for the push to 80, while others prepared with pot of coffee at the ready with scheduled naps and alarm clocks we very ready to get it done and over with.
Sometimes I just can’t believe how bad our luck is. I mean, we’ve been farming Illidan for HOW LONG without more than a handful of glaives? Maybe it was the universe trying to maintain the balance of karma; I don’t know. But what I do know is that the third time was a charm on Kil’Jaeden, and tonight Bullmax walked away with the big prize. Sure, it would have been sweeter pre-nerf, but I think this kinda made up for all the nights of struggle when we just couldn’t get the raid comp to give M’Uru (let alone KJ) a swift boot in the ass.
Grats to Bullmax on the server first [item]Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury[/item]! Now you can stand around in Shattrath or Ironforge for a couple weeks before Wrath comes out and be a prime target for inspections (as if you weren’t already).
So close to WotLK release and with only a few weeks left to finish this off we were kinda stressed about getting him down I wont lie, but now we’re kinda laughing that we did SW tonight from start to server first Kil’J kill in around 3.25 hours (minus all the fucking downtime from afk’s).
Our first raid post patch went first attempt to 1% (lawl 3.5K hp’s left!) to dead 2nd attempt. Needless to say he went down faster then Ayanami on a prom date. The dumbing down kinda made it a joke, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t take this kill and run with it. Good job everyone and thank GOD a new front page update!

Christ on a cupcake, I have been waiting to do an update for 3 months, granted I really don’t count June… Recruiting FTW?
Great job to everyone who stuck it out while we got new people in and then out. While learning the fight all over every week with the amount of apps we had coming in. The members who kept showing up even tho we might have been lacking some key classes at times, and gave it their all every time, you’re the best and what make this guild great to be in, and special grats to:
Fishknuckles on [item]ring of hardened resolve[/item]
Avelay on [item]Robes of Faltered Light[/item]
Norgulzar on [item]Sin’dorei Band of Triumph[/item]
Arthyn on [item]Harness of Carnal Instinct[/item]
This fight was one of those where everyone has to be perfect and one person dead it’s over, once I learned to not SW:D myself into a early grave it made the fight much more fun! I hope Kil’jaden will be as exciting, and from the glimpse we got tonight, it should be. I do have to say it was an eventful kill, listening to vent you would imagine that with all the screams, ‘fuck yes!” and “woots!” it was like we won the game, but we still got one more boss at this point. Lets finish this!

This was a very fun fight, when it was over it took a second for it to sink it that it was over. We thought the server bugging out and not letting us zone in to SPlat was a bad sign, turns out it was for the best! Second attempt after that little setback they fell down harder then a fat kid tripping over a curb. (That was for you Zan). Great job by all. Especially Zan who keeps us on our feet and highly entertained during raids.
And now why anyone actually reads these anyways…. and the loot!

As a priest, this fight was by far the biggest pain the god damn ass I’ve ever seen. I am just glad I’m not a healer! FFS… this requires beyond 100% attention and reaction from everyone in the raid. No joke one fuck up and GG! Great job to everyone who stuck out attempts night after night and who came in and stepped out to help raid comp. Now we just have to wait for the gates to open then on to the twins!
