Once in game, do /who vanquish and/or send a tell to Calïsto, or ask any member to let Calïsto know you are interested. What is GDKP? The way it works is this: You go into an instance, say Naxx, and everyone knows ahead of time that it is a "GDKP run," or a "gold run," or a "cash run." You down the first boss, and Webbed Death drops. The master looter then takes bids of gold on the item (this is done via raid chat), and whoever bids the most gold gets the item. The person who wins then pays that amount of gold (some raids have minimum bids of, say, 100g) to "the pot," and the raid moves on. Another boss drops, another item drops -- usually all items, including recipes and mats, are auctioned off -- and another high bid goes into "the pot." Then, at the end of the raid, the pot is evenly split among all members. Everybody who joined in on the raid gets an even share of the bidded gold, including people who got no items. Interesting, huh? It helps nearly every kind of character, from the people who don't need any of the gear but will willingly run instances for gold, to the people who don't have too much gear (newly 85 alts), but have plenty of gold to spend. And generally, the concepts of main spec or off-spec are completely ignored -- the item always just goes to the highest bidder. Anytime someone outbids you for an item, it just raises the amount of gold that you'll walk away with at the end, so theoretically, everybody wins. We will be raiding 25 man content and focus primarily on Dragon Soul on these runs. If you are interested in other raids, post a message and we can probably get a good group for you and run you thru whatever you'd like, and we'll give you a price. Our Rules 1.For Dragon Soul, minimum bids start at 1,000 gold. Each bid after that will be in 1k increments. This is a great opportunity to gear for heroic Dragon Soul. 2. You must stay the entire run to receive your cut of the gold. If you only have an hour to raid, this is not the place for you. This helps us to speed through things, not having to take time to replace people. We typically make anywhere from 9k to 13k gold each. Of course each week is different, depending on who comes and what drops. It's a great way to get gear and gold. If you are interested in other instances or achievement runs, please post here and we can probably arrange something. Sometimes we run toons through instances for drakes, give priorities for legendaries, etc. Purpose For raiders who are skilled, to down end game content, gear up fast, and then make large sums of gold to help them as they play World of Warcraft. The schedule is light so that it doesn't involve a large time commitment. We run on Friday nights, which is usually off-nights for most regular guilds. What Am I looking for? Either alts from tier 1 guilds, or mains from other guilds. People who can commit to the schedule, have a great attitude, and have a decent amount of gold to start with. However, I am flexible on the latter. Q: If I have never come to your run before, and have no experience, should I still sign up? A: Yes. As long as you are around iLvl 372 and can perform, sign up. Anyone and everyone interested in the GDKP runs should have a clear understanding of how things like player selection and strats and rules and scheduling are established for the runs.  <ul> <li>Rules -  1000g min bid with +1000g inc,  Multi drop Items are bid for with growth in mind for example 3 items drop then person A bids 2000 person B bids 3000 person c bids 4000 and person D bids 8000 person D is the person to beat that means person D is the one to beat and person B ,C and D are safe at that point but person A is out of the running til he bids higher then person D.  if you leave early you lose your cut. pot is divided 25 ways at end of run. Run ends at 12 server. No exceptions, if you lose your cut no big deal come again another time and youl make more.</li> </ul>   <ul> <li>Scheduling - FRIDAY NIGHT AT 7:30 Server time always! ( IF YOU ARE "NOT" A GUILDIE DO NOT MESSAGE ME SPAMMING ME ABOUT START TIMES OR INVITES BEFORE 7:30, guildies can message me whenever about it. This encounter is all about keeping the tanks and crystal soakers alive.  No one else should be taking damage.   All healers will be healing both tanks and crystal soakers at different points in a set rotation during the fight.   Tanks will be taking stacks of <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=99252">Blazing Glory</a> which increases damage taken,  but also increases their health pool.  To counteract the tanks health pool gain healers spells also have the ability to increase their output by gaining stacks of <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=99262">Vital Spark </a>. Stacks of Vital Spark are gained when healing the crystal soakers. Healing is assigned in a rotation. For 25 man the rotation is as follows:    Crystal Set 1    Crystal Set 2       Crystal Set 3 <ul> <li>Healing group A:   Tanks                Soak Group 1          Soak Group 2</li> <li>Healing group B:   Soak Group 2     Tanks                     Soak Group 1</li> <li>Healing group C:   Soak Group 1     Soak Group 2          Tanks</li> </ul>   This is the rotation and the 4th crystal = back to crystal 1. Shards of Torment <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=99260">Shards of Torment</a> is what the soakers are well soaking. When healing soakers 2 things are being accomplished, keeping them alive and gaining vital spark stacks.  Both are equally important so using a rotation of hots and direct heals (direct heals are the only way to gain stacks) is important.  Each crystal will be shared between 2 players (soakers) first person taking 12 stacks and the next person taking the rest.  Due to the shards ability <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=99256">torment</a>, each stack does more damage so be prepared to keep them up as the gain more stacks. *** It is very important to only be healing soak targets when assigned to them.  Putting a heal on a tank will put your Vital Spark ability on CD and lock you from gaining stacks for 15 seconds. ***  I cannot stress that enough, losing out on stacks = not being able to keep up in healing on the tanks as the fight progresses.  Especially for Decimation Blade. Decimation Blade When <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=99352">Decimation Blade</a> occurs the OT will taunt the boss and take 3 hits,  First hit at approx 5 sec and every 2.5 after. (Every 5 on 10 man.) The damage is 90% of the tanks current health pool.  Big heals are a must to get the tanks to full health before each hit.  Heals need to be timed to land right after the first hit in order to maximize healing time. CD's and using instant casts necessary. To win this fight, know your assignment and prepare to have a solid rotation on healing crystal soakers that allows you to gain a good number of stacks, but also does not put you a mana situation later in the fight. The trick is to squeeze in as many direct heals as you can near the end of that person's Torment rotation, because you'll accumulate more stacks faster in the last few seconds. Example rotations: (Please help me with more accurate rotations, these are what I found googling different sites) Resto Druid: Start off with a Rejuv then roll Nourish at the low stacks and low damage, then ramp up to Regrowth and finish off with a Swiftmend as the stacks get higher. Resto Shaman: Riptide>Healing Wave>Healing Wave>Unleash Elements >Riptide (Healing Surge or Healing Wave if UE is on cd)   Holy Paladin: Use Holy Shock, Word of Glory, and Holy light. Maintain mana discipline (Judge and use Divine Plea). Holy Priest: ? Before I knew it, it was 1AM and I was a ghost running back from a horrible wipe at 1 AM because I forgot to press shield block because I was distracted by whatever was on cinemax.
