| I wish that they kept making single player games instead. |

| Sounds interesting. Did they mention if it's a console or computer MMO yet? And I do hope by "story driven" they mean something similar to FFXI's mission system. Despite the massive flaws FFXI had, I always enjoyed their stories. |

It's going to be on PC (I didn't say computers hah! but yeah, macs too :p)
Some quotes from gamespy from the press conference...
"We're still talking story, and how your characters will not get stuck doing things that aren't somehow heroic or epic. As a Sith, at level 1, you'll be fighting 20-foot tall creatures. At no point, will you be out killing 20 bunnies or snakes or rescuing someone's cat. When asked if this meant there wouldn't be any crafting in the game -- hey, what's heroic about leatherworking? -- but we were given a vague answer that there will be crafting, and it will somehow fit in the context of doing things that are big and important."
"We've got the game's producers here talking about bringing innovation to the MMO space. In particular, there's companion characters, which are meant to be more friends than pets. Another focus is on having meaningful in-game choices, where, for example, your actions will greatly impact how your companions develop."
"In terms of combat, the goal is to have something heroic and fast-paced, which is quite different from your typical MMO, where a bunch of guys whack an orc over and over to kill it. The typical MMO fight basically doesn't feel too much like Star Wars, so that's once place BioWare's looking to innovate. "
Wonder how much of their mentalities will stay the same throughout the 3-5 coming years. And just to think it will be released after the expansion AFTER WotLK (Maelstrom), or even the next (Emerald Dream) |

They'll probably fall apart and just make another MMO based off of WOW's structure. My hunch though.
Was kind of hoping it'd be for console. There's something nice about just being able to curl up in a chair/couch and playing the game. Making me want to go back to FFXI now, grrr, too bad those games always end up being a stupid grind. |
