We are currently pushing content in The Burning Crusade. We are a dedicated raiding guild, and if you don’t like to raid then hit backspace and read another post. Below you can see if we have any open spots in your class. If it is closed we will always accept and review exceptional applications, if you feel that is you feel free to apply.

We are a guild of around 35 members who have cleared AQ40, Naxxarams, killed all outdoor bosses, Gruul, and Magtheridon, finished Tempest Keep, and SSC many times over. We cleared Black Temple back in late September of 2007, many months before Sunwell was released. Have quite a few server first under our belts. We are a old and stable guild, with a very strong core of members, who from time to time may need to quit or take time off from game so we open up recruitment to fill those spots. I assure you if it's listed as open we need someone, despite what member page may reflect. We excel in in PvE as well as PvP content, and we grow stronger every week as we quickly progress through new content. Our server is stable and we do not have queues or server lag spikes. We have a core group of raiders that have been together for over a year now on this server and know the game thoroughly. We are looking for apps who love to raid to join our guild roster. Here is a basic outline of what we are looking for in an applicant and what they can expect out of us.

• Raid Times:
Raid invites start at 6:30pm CTS, buffing and pulling begins at 7pm CST. We raid until midnight or later, 5 days a week, Sunday - Thursday. It is VERY important that you can attend all of these raids. We ask that applicants maintain a 90%+ raid attendance. Once you become a member we ask that realistically you maintain a 85%+ raid attendance. We need applicants who will log on and stay on not for just an hour but the whole raid, and can be online for the required days. We are looking for full time hard core raiders.

• Attitude:
If you don’t have a good raiding attitude, do not apply. Come prepared with necessary gear, pots, and reagents. Wipes are an inevitability of breaking into new content, be willing to suck it up and come back with more determination then before. Own up to your own mistakes, everyone makes them. It often happens but own up to it and try and avoid it the second time around. Listen, learn, and be prepared to adjust, take and offer constructive criticism. We do not want players who will just whine, moan and groan every time we wipe or fail to get a target. Vanquish is looking for dedicated players who are willing to stay till the end, give their best and put in that little extra effort to make us successful.

• Being an applicant:
This part isn’t all fun and games. You will receive raid attendance for the raid even if you are not in it (if we are full) as long as you stay online. You will most likely not get into every single raid we have, however it would be in your best interest to park your main outside of the zone in, and be on an alt until you are asked to join the raid.

• Gear:
We would prefer not to have to gear applicants up much and with gear available in regards to new content in The Burning Crusade, we DO expect you to have full epic gear. Prove to us you put some effort into making your character well geared for your current or future specs. We do understood that part of wanting to join a hard core raiding guild is the gear, and it will come eventually, however we tend to not give apps loot or much at all during their app period so do not expect anything. A lot of loot will default to applicants, but whining and begging will not gain favor in regards to getting you loot. Working as part of the team should be priority over what gear you get next. Gear isn’t everything; your attitude, contribution, and skill are more important for us. If you feel as though you can be an exceptional addition to our guild, but your gear is slightly below par, feel free to apply still.

• Skill:
We are looking for players who learn quickly, have good reflexes, and have a good understanding of their class. We have very VERY limited positions for off spec classes (shadow priests, feral druids, dps paladins)
We have no idea if you are a skillful player when you apply. That is why we have a two week (or 12 raids) application period: we will find out just how well you perform in raids.

• Experience:
It helps if you have some experience with the current end game content raids, however, if you don’t, please still apply with us. We are always willing to teach new things and help you learn encounters, for the right players.

• Communications:
We as a guild use a ventrillo server, and it is required that you are able to speak and listen to it during raid times, not only to hear strategies but also give feedback.

• Connection:
If you have a bad internet connection, and you disconnect every few minutes or more often than internet connections are supposed to disconnect, do not apply. Many fights in this game require stable connections and little to no latency. If your connection effects your playing ability to be a good raider then you do not want to apply to us.

• Misc:
I was unsure where to put this so I’ll add it here. We are a mature guild with players in the ages of 18+ and sometimes adult topics get out of hand, and can be viewed as offensive or crude. However, this is the long established way our members are. Conversations get carried away so please if you are easily offending by sexually oriented conversations or cursing, we might not be the guild for you.
